My first post to this blog is to give some background and clarification.
Number One: Do I believe that all autism is caused by childhood vaccinations? No.
Number Two: Do I believe that my son's autism was caused by childhood vaccinations? Absolutely.
Up until 2001, vaccinations contained a mercury-based preservative called Thimerosal: "In 1999, family physicians, pediatricians, federal health officials, and vaccine manufacturers stated that because any potential risk from mercury is of concern, and the elimination of exposure to mercury in the form of thimerosal from vaccines is feasible, thimerosal should be removed from vaccines as soon as possible."
Good, Great, Awesome decision! But wait, turns out they replaced the mercury with another toxic metal, aluminum. Not so good, not so great, not such an awesome decision.
When my son was born I created computer folders to contain all of the movies and pictures that I would be taking. Starting with a Week One folder, and continuing after that, a new folder for each week. Daily I would empty the camera's memory card content into its appropriate folder. So, when I say that my son was fine before his vaccinations, I ain't just blowin' smoke. I have proof.
At 6 months old, Joseph was given 5 vaccinations in one day, all containing aluminum, mercury (yes, still mercury) and various other junk including live viruses, killed bacteria, and formaldehyde. These 5 were on top of the 4 that he had already received prior to 6 months. At 16 months, he was given 5 more aluminum-laden vaccines all in one day, including MMR. Prior to his 18 month check-up, Joseph was showing some signs: no speech, arm-flapping, and very poor eye contact.
In January, 2010, we had Joseph tested for toxic metals. His results showed a high level of aluminum.
For a year now, through diet and mineral supplements we have been drawing the aluminum out (chelating). His blood is analyzed every two months, and his hair every four. Although he is now 2-1/2 years old and still has not spoken a word, he engages with us in ways that work for him. His other signs have greatly improved. His self-stimulative arm-flapping has decreased, and his eye contact is so much better than before.
Autism has hit epidemic proportions. Thousands of parents are voicing their concern - "My child changed after vaccinations!" In ending, here's a thought for the CDC... Since you don't want to admit that there's a connection between vaccinations and autism, and you'd really love for those pesky parents to just go away... Why don't we stop calling it autism. No autism, no connection. How about something a little more catchy, that really says it all. Something like, say, Vaccine-Induced Aluminum Toxicity. That works for me :o)
